Privacy Policy

How MTGTactical handles newsletter signups, contact messages, stored records and privacy requests.

This Privacy Policy explains how MTGTactical handles information submitted through its newsletter signup and contact channels. It covers only the documented practices described below.

Newsletter signup

When a signup form is presented, it invites readers to “Join the MTGTactical list for future articles and reading suggestions.” The form asks for an email address and explicit agreement to: “I agree to receive email updates from MTGTactical.” A signup form may not appear on every page.

The site stores the submitted email address, a hash used to check for duplicate signups, the signup time, the source page path without its query string or fragment, the consent wording accepted at signup, and the collection status. These records are stored in the site’s WordPress database.

Signup currently enables collection for possible future updates. Email delivery, confirmation, and unsubscribe functions require separate configuration. MTGTactical therefore does not promise a sending schedule or indicate that an active mailing service is operating.

Spam prevention

The signup system creates temporary rate-limit records to reduce automated or abusive submissions. These records use hashed network identifiers and are subject to periodic cleanup. This does not mean hosting infrastructure never logs IP addresses; any separate hosting logs are outside the documented signup process described here.

Contact messages

If you contact MTGTactical, we receive the information you choose to provide. This may include your email address, message, and any attachments you send. Please avoid including sensitive information that is not needed for your request.

Record access and retention

Authorized administrators can view, export, and remove newsletter signup records. These records also integrate with WordPress personal-data export and erasure tools. Newsletter records remain in the WordPress database until an administrator removes them or an erasure request is processed.

Your choices

To request access to or removal of a newsletter signup record, email contact@mtgtactical.com and identify the email address used to sign up. Providing that address helps locate the correct record.

MTGTactical may link to other websites. Those sites maintain their own privacy information and practices. Review the relevant site’s privacy policy before submitting information there.
